See how lives are being changed!

We rescued Antony Amanya from Kabale Referral Hospital Feb. 9. His mother is very sick.
House Mother Rose sits with Agaba Deogratias, whom we also rescued Feb. 9. His mother abandoned him.
Shawn and Primrose take a picture with Antony, Agaba, and Agaba's grandmother.

Ninsiima, a 2 1/2 year-old girl, was being neglected by her mother. She came to us Oct. 18 stunted, malnourished, and barely able to stand. She is walking now.
Murungi Freedom, a 10-month-old baby was abandoned in August alongside a road in Kabale. A Good Samaritan picked him and took him to the police.
Murungi is a healthy, happy baby.
We took in Francis, a malnourished 6-month-old baby, after learning his mentally disabled mother (pictured above) could not care for him.
(L to R): Primrose, Francis, and Violet
We enjoyed caring for Francis for two months. We transferred Francis to Loving Hearts Babies Home, a home in Kampala that specializes in caring for babies 0-2 years old, in August.

Determine was born to Charity, a 16-year-old single mother. We took him in May 12 as Charity threatened to abandon him as she could not care for him. We plan to help stabilize Charity and then resettle Determine with her.
Determine is doing well at Keirungi enjoying a nice place to live and three meals a day.
Night (front) and Gift were abandoned at the border of Rwanda. We took them in May 10.
Night and Gift have adjusted well at Keirungi.
We received Kato and Kakuru March 13. Their mother died soon after they were born and their disabled grandma was unable to care for them.
Amanya (L) and Alex (R) came to Keirungi Jan. 21, 2011, from Kanungu, a neighboring district. They were both abandoned.
Joseph was the first child we took in at Keirungi. We received him Nov. 9, 2010. He was abandoned. Joseph is our little pioneer.
Some of the children at Keirungi hang-out on the slide with Mabel, our day assistant.
