Jeremiah was severely malnourished when he came to Keirungi. With good, nutritious Ugandan food, we nursed him back to health.

![]() Innocent Tumuhimbise was severely burned in a fire. We arranged for him to have surgery in Uganda, which improved the use of his hand.
Upon arriving at Keirungi, Innocent Tumwesigye ran to the swings and was curious about everything. He is very smart.

Antony came to Keirungi after his mother died.
Ninsiima, pictured above when she was 2 1/2 years old, was so malnourished and stunted when she came to Keirungi that she was us barely able to stand. However, within a few, short months, she was not only walking, but running around with the other children! We were able to resettle her with her grandma.
Murungi Freedom is a sweet child and was adopted by a loving family in the U.S.

Like most of our children, Friday came to us when he was malnourished. Within a few months of having consistent meals, he was in his proper weight range.
Though not seen in this picture, Nunu is a jolly girl.
Evelyn, Nunu's sister, tries not to smile.
Shalom came to us when she was just a baby. She is so cute!
Blessing has become a responsible older sister to the other children at Keirungi.
We cared for Odongo and Opio while their mother recovered from an illness. We were able to resettle them with their mum after she recovered.

Night and Gift are sister and brother. The photo above was taken the day they came to Keirungi. They quickly fit right in at Keirungi.
Kato and Kakuru are our joyful twins. Their disabled grandma was unable to care for them.
Amanya and Alex, who are cousins, came to Keirungi in 2011 right after we opened. They are now big boys.
Joseph was the first child we took in at Keirungi. He was subsequently adopted by a family in the U.S.
