BOLAM Weekly Update: Several Keirungi Children Ill
* Children: It was not a good week for our children. Several caught an infectious disease that is likely measles from Akanyijuka School. Some were admitted at a local clinic and others were treated with medication and injections. Subsequently, we kept our other children home from school. The good news is that the children were all doing better by week’s end. Glory to God! Please pray for full recovery. Samples have been sent out to confirm if the illness is, in fact, measles. Thank you for praying for all of our children at Keirungi (Joseph, Alex, Amanya, Kato, Kakuru, Gift, Night, Determine, Murungi, Antony, Deo, Blessing, Shalom, Nunu, Evelyn, Friday, Namara, Innocent Tumuhimbise and Innocent Tumwesigye) and for those children we have resettled with their families (Ninsiima and Odongo and Opio).
* Spiritual: Caleb started a new series on Ecclesiastes for the Friday Bible study. Staff appreciates the opportunity to learn more about the Bible.
* Agriculture: Staff continued planting beans and there has been good rain for the crops.
General Ugandan and Cox Family Update:
* Shoulder. My shoulder is healing nicely. Thank you for praying. The doctor said I need to wear the sling for a couple of more weeks.
